The setup of older Samsung displays with SSSP 2 to SSSP 3 is described here.

The setup of Samsung Tizen displays with Tizen 2.4 (SSSP 4) to Tizen 5.0 (SSSP 7) is described here.


Tip: For easier and faster installation, you can connect a USB keyboard to the display. 


Tip: To reset an existing display to factory settings, switch off the display and then switch it on using the key combination "MUTE + 1 + 8 + 2 + POWERON". If the display has already been set up with MagicInfo, you must switch to the DVI input source before switching off in order to be able to call up the service menu. In the service menu, select "Option" > "Factory Reset" and confirm. After the restart, the start wizard appears again with the menu items described below.


Info: After setting up, make sure that the latest firmware is installed on the device.

To do this, press the EXIT button on the remote control to exit the sklera Player app and then press the MENU button to access the settings.

The latest firmware can be downloaded via the menu item "Support > Software Update".


The installation requires the following steps:


  1. Connect the display to the power source (and to the cable network if required) and switch it on.

  2. Select language.


  3. Confirm data privacy notice.


  4. If you are connecting the display via WiFi, configure WiFi settings.

  5. Set the installation type to "Manual Setup".


  6. Set display orientation.


  7. Select player type "Custom App".


  8. Enter the appropriate URL (use lower case characters only): https://sklera.tv or alternatively https://start.sklera.tv/app/samsung
    Note for on-premise systems: The URL is PLAYER_URL/app/samsung , where PLAYER_URL is the address of your on-premise player server.


  9. Skip the RM server setup with "Skip"


  10. Disable Auto Power OFF.


  11. Set the current date and time.


  12. (Optional) Set PIN code to control access to security settings.


  13. Press the "Custom App" icon to start the sklera Player App installation.


  14. sklera Player App is downloaded, installed and started.


  15. The device is now configured for use with sklera.
